Erasmus mobility

Erasmus mobility

The ERASMUS programme gives students (including master's and doctoral students, but excluding first-year students) the opportunity to study in a European Union country for a period of between 3 months and one academic year. Participating students benefit from the following rights:

  • to draw up a Learning Agreement with the home and host universities before the start of the placement;
  • this agreement will detail the programme of study during the internship and the credits to be earned
  • issue by the host institution, at the end of the traineeship, of a certificate (transcript) containing the results obtained during the study programme (credits and grades)
  • full academic recognition by the home institution of credits earned during the study programme in accordance with the study agreement
  • exemption from payment to the host university of tuition, registration, examination or access to laboratory or library facilities during Erasmus studies
  • a grant supplement to cover part of the costs of the traineeship abroad
  • maintaining the national scholarship for the duration of the traineeship.

If you are a student at one of the faculties of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova, it is good to know that mobility can only take place to higher education institutions with which the teaching staff of UMF Craiova have concluded agreements in this regard. The list of partner universities is available and can be consulted here.

The selection of students is made in March each year for the following academic year. Selection criteria include evaluation of results during studies, language skills, motivation, extra-curricular activity, etc. Application is made by submitting a letter of intent and a CV (European format) to the Community Programmes Office.
