Technology Transfer Centre of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova (CTT-UMFCv)

 

Mission: Encourages technology transfer activity by developing the networking capacity between UMFCV, other universities, research and development institutes and the health business environment.

Main objective is to emphasise innovation and technology transfer in order to bring the results of research carried out by the UMFCv teams into the economic circuit, to transform scientific progress into tangible products and services that have a profound impact on human health and quality of life. The aim is to maximise the impact of the technology through industrial or non-industrial partners.

CTT-UMFCv is responsible for managing the intellectual property assets of UMFCv, transferring knowledge to UMFCv (including through innovative services) and generating revenue to further support research and education at UMFCv.

CTT-UMFCv can contribute to the creation of "spin-off" or "start-up" structures to capitalise on its own or associated partners' scientific results.

CTT-UMFCv has specific tasks in the area of innovation and technology transfer in the field of Health:

  • Promotes innovation and technology transfer activity;

  • Intellectual property and copyright;

  • Contribute to the implementation of scientific research results and advanced technologies;

  • Ensures participation in competitions for research, development and innovation (RDI) projects funded by the Romanian Government through the Ministry of Research and Innovation and EU-funded projects;

  • Ensures access for SMEs to UMFCv technology services and R&D infrastructure;

  • Innovation education and training;

  • Innovative services to the community;

  • Ensures the efficient transfer of the results of UMFCv's R&D teams to the production departments of companies;

  • Develop statistical or feasibility studies for the activities carried out.

  • In order to achieve its object of activity, CTT-UMFCv may collaborate or conclude collaboration or partnership agreements with other technology transfer institutes with a similar profile, in the country or abroad, as well as with other natural/legal persons.
