SEPTEMBER 2024 SESSION

 

     The admission competition for doctoral studies at I.O.S.U.D. U.M.F. Craiova is organized in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Higher Education no. 199/4 July 2023, published in the Official Gazette no. 614 of 5 July 2023, the Order of the Minister of Education no. 3693 of 1 February 2024, published in the Official Journal of Romania, Part I, no. 111/7.02.2024 and in compliance with the admission regulations.

            I. Tuition fees for Romanian citizens, as well as for those from EU and EEA countries, tuition - own account in lei:

 ADMISSION COMPETITION

- Admission exam registration fee: 400 lei / candidate

(Children of active or retired teachers and teaching assistants are exempt from the application fee. The fee will be waived only on the basis of supporting documents submitted by the candidate. Approval of the exemption is based on a request addressed to the Doctoral School U.M.F. Craiova)

 

The fee will be paid by bank transfer through credit institutions (banks) to the Craiova City Treasury.

The payment order shall contain the following identification data:

            II. Tuition fees for third-country nationals (non-EU), tuition fees - own currency account:

Registration will take place online during the registration period.

The documents will be scanned into a single .pdf document, in the order of the list of required documents, saved with the candidate's name, and sent to: doctorat@umfcv.ro

Once your application has been checked, you will receive a letter informing you that your application has been validated or, where appropriate, requesting that your application be supplemented or explaining why your application has been invalidated.

Candidates declared admitted will be required to submit their applications in letter format, the study contract and proof of payment of tuition fees by October 1, 2024. 

 

Submission program in letter format (printed):

Applications are submitted to the Secretariat of the Doctoral School U.M.F. Craiova,

2 Petru Rareș Street, building A' (Extension), first floor, room 605.

 

 Documents needed to apply:

 You must submit your application in person, using your identity card/passport.

 Candidates may also be represented by another person on their behalf by a power of attorney.

 

I   Doctoral application (standardized form - Doctoral application 2024);

II  Registration form and information note (standardized forms: Registration form 2024 and Information note 2024);

III Declaration on the assumption of responsibility for the authenticity and correspondence between the digital/scanned documents and the originals ( Model 2024 Assumption of Responsibility )

IV The letter of acceptance for studies issued by the specialized directorate of the Ministry of Education, for Romanian citizens residing abroad or foreign citizens;

V The originals of the following documents in order to make certified copies (notarized copies are also accepted)/ scanned copies of the originals of the documents must be submitted when applying online:

1.         A bachelor's degree or a certificate issued by the higher education institution (only for the current graduating class) stating the overall average, the averages obtained in the years of study, the validity period and the fact that no bachelor's degree has been issued;

                  Failure to submit the original of the bachelor's degree and/or dissertation, or the above-mentioned certificate, within 15 days of enrolment, through the sole fault of the admitted candidate, will result in the loss of the place funded by the budget

Law on higher education no. 199/4 July 2023 published in M.O. of Romania, Part I, no. 614 of July 5, 2023:

Art. 57 (2) The diploma of graduation or bachelor's degree of the graduates of long-term higher education from the period prior to the application of the three Bologna-type cycles is equivalent to the diploma of master's degree in the specialized field (GEO 72/31 August 2023, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 792/1.09.2023).

Art. 66. — Only graduates with a Master's degree or its equivalent are entitled to take part in the admission competition for doctoral studies, and the cumulative number of transferable study credits acquired, for the Bachelor's and Master's degree cycle, must be at least 300.

2.         Transcript of records/supplement to the bachelor's degree/ the attestation from the previous point is sufficient for graduates of the current class;

3.         Master's degree (for graduates with a bachelor's degree, cycle I, with 180/240 credits)/adevertación for graduates of the current promotion;

4.         Matriculation certificate/supplement to the master's degree/certificate for graduates of the current class;

5.         Baccalaureat diploma

6.         School transcript/supplement to baccalaureate diploma

7.         Birth certificate

8.         Marriage certificate (in case of name change)

VI     Proof of language proficiency in a language of international circulation; 

IMPORTANT! The University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova does not issue language proficiency certificates! 

VII        Certificate of graduation from the preparatory year, certificate of language proficiency or, where applicable, academic transcripts attesting at least 4 years of studies at a school with Romanian language teaching (if doctoral studies are conducted in Romanian), internationally recognized certificate of language proficiency (if studies are conducted in English) - for foreign citizens;

VIII   Identity card/passport (in order to make certified copies);  

IX     The receipt proving the payment of the application fee/payment order with a clear indication of the candidate's name from the birth certificate followed, where applicable, by the name from the identity card in brackets (for example: name acquired by marriage), first name respectively OR application for exemption from payment of the application fee addressed to the Doctoral School U.M.F. Craiova, for the cases provided in the competition methodology, accompanied by supporting documents;

X.  Curriculum vitae dated and signed;

XI. List of papers published, communicated, presented at congresses and symposia - optional.

XII. Postgraduate diplomas, awards, distinctions, etc - optional;

 

The documents required for obtaining the Letter of Acceptance to study (for third-country nationals) or the Certificate of Recognition of Studies (for EU, EEA and Swiss Confederation nationals) will be submitted according to the information posted on the website www.umfcv.ro in the section Admission of Foreign Nationals.

 

            Foreign citizens will submit:   

 - Diplomas issued by countries that are signatories to the Hague Convention only authenticated by the relevant authorities in the issuing country;

- Diplomas or their equivalent - legalized translation into Romanian or into a language of international circulation, endorsed by the diplomatic representation of Romania in the issuing country, for candidates from states that have not acceded to the Convention on the Abolition of the Suprogation of Legalization of Foreign Official Documents, adopted at The Hague on 5 October 1961;
