Master Pharmacology and Toxicology 2010

 

General

Master's Degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology is a form of organization proposed graduate of Faculty of Pharmacy of Craiova.

 

Motivation

Initiative of organizing the Master in Pharmacology and Toxicology was based on several issues:

Pharmacists, and physicians' professional activity involves continuous updating of the basic requirements and specialized;

- In interdisciplinary research teams at UMF Craiova, connected to national programs (PNCDI II) there is an acute need for specialists in pharmacology and toxicology, without which this activity can not be up to modern standards;

- Preparation of pharmacy and medicine graduates for doctoral studies;

- Pharmacologist and toxicologist professions are recognized in the EU, which increases the chances that graduates and pharmacists and doctors to find a job outside the country;

- Currently, Romanian medical and pharmaceutical research is largely based on clinical studies and less on investment in creating new drugs, which require specialists with interdisciplinary field of Pharmacology and Toxicology.

 

Specific objectives

Masters Programme in Ft promotes acquisition throughout life, skills complementary initial training. The specific objective of the Master in Pharmacology and Toxicology consists in the formation and development of complementary skills preparation of initial medical and pharmaceutical students in order to improve efficiency of health services, high quality in terms of medical or research activity. The program addresses students with initial training in pharmacy and medicine.

The main objective this form of education are:

- Preparation of highly qualified specialists in the field of Pharmacology and Toxicology;

- Theoretical and practical learning methods and modern techniques of field research farmacotoxicologiei specific;

- Preparing students for specific requirements and scientific activity in the doctorate level;

- Preparation of Safety specilisti leader in science, pharmacology and toxicology that could be coopted in interdisciplinary teams and contribute to the organization with medical and pharmaceutical research suscces the national and international

 

Educational spaces



Base material U.M.F. Craiova meet the standards for practicing a quality educational process. The teaching process will take place in educational spaces owned by the UMF Craiova. Due to the modular nature it will have the curriculum, the spaces for theoretical and practical training will be used exclusively by students of the master program, avoiding duplication with the students of university specializations UMF Craiova.

 

Provide Material



Each classroom in endowment U.M.F. Craiova necessary teaching facilities: the board, dia projector, overhead projector, epidiascope, projector, screen and large lecture rooms have air conditioning and sound system. Laboratories have enough space and teaching materials, computer courses are provided with an adequate number of computers required to prepare a practical and high-speed Internet connection. Laboratories and clinical bases used by UMF Craiova and will be available to students receiving the appropriate technical equipment, in accordance with Law no. 88/1993.

 

Social Services


Master students will enjoy their homes and canteen services administered by UMF Craiova availability. Students can use the master sportswear administered by UMF Craiova, and cultural services of this institution, with access in Coral Pharmacy Craiova.
 

Financial


Master's program budget in Pharmacology and Toxicology is part of the budget of the Faculty of Pharmacy UMF Craiova, the latter being the institution which has legal personality. In the budget the University, Faculty of Pharmacy and funds allocated by default in FT Masters program will be directly proportional to the number of students.

Is the body of teaching and training staff who work practice in the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the associated faculty of the University of Craiova, as well as other institutions in the country and abroad.

Masters Program in Pharmacology and Toxicology has a duration of two semesters and subjects studied are:

Methodology of research in medicine

Statistical methods in pharmacological and toxicological research

Analytical Toxicology

Toxicological Principles of biochemistry. Biometode with applications in pharmacology and toxicology

Neurophysiology

Pharmacodynamics and toxicodynamic-news

Pharmacokinetics and toxicokinetic - news

Special problems pharmacology

Antidotes and treatment of acute poisoning

Toxicological Implications of medicinal plants


 

Registration of candidates



Registration will be the submission of a dossier containing the following:

degree and transcripts - original;
authenticated copy of birth certificate;
marriage certificate or other documents under which it was produced a possible change - name - authenticated copy (if applicable);
copy of identity card / ID card;
receipt proving the payment of tuition;
application form (typed as is obtained from the secretariat for registration)
an updated curriculum vitae;
certificate from the workplace;
recommendation from the last place of business.

 

General Conditions:
 

be a Romanian citizen or one of the EU Member States or S.E.E.;
to be a graduate of the faculty of medicine, dentistry or pharmacy, with bachelor's degree.


The fee for studies: 3000 RON / year

4. And steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

10. Toxicology of drugs: barbiturates derivatives, neuroleptics, antidepressants, analgesics, antipyretics, cardiac glycosides.
