Computed tomography combines X-ray technology with advanced computer processing to create detailed images of internal organs.

The Imaging Department is equipped with state-of-the-art Siemens 20-slice CT equipment with 70 cm gantry diameter, FOV extended to 70 cm. Rapid data acquisition with obtaining multiple sections with reduced thickness and increased resolution without breathing artifacts is achieved by using this CT computer system with embedded syngo.via software.

This software allows 3D image processing with standard 2D and 3D reconstruction possibilities as well as sophisticated reconstructions such as MPR (multiplanar reformation), MPR thick, MIP (maximum intensity projection), MIP thin, VRT (volume rendering), VRT thin and VRT gallery with significantly improved image post-processing and 3D reconstructions.
