Research

Discipline of Biochemistry in collaboration with institutions in the country and abroad, is currently carrying out fundamental research with the following main research directions:

- Modern approaches to the diagnosis and therapy of malignant tumours: from cellular mechanisms to potential clinical applications;

- The role of growth factor receptors and tumour stem cells in the diagnosis and therapy of solid tumours;

- Oxidative stress in diabetes and cancer diseases;

- Biochemical analysis of central nervous system regeneration after injury;

- Genomic, biochemical and cellular analysis of neurogenesis in epilepsy.
