MediFest UMF Craiova – Growing the health of Oltenia together
On October 15, 2026, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova will host MediFest UMF Craiova, a landmark academic and professional event designed to foster strategic interaction between academia, students, alumni, healthcare practitioners, and industry employers.
Under the core mission, "Growing the health of Oltenia together," MediFest establishes a collaborative platform to address the evolution of healthcare professions, the essential competencies required by the modern medical system, and long-term partnership opportunities between the university and the professional sector.
The event will feature two complementary components:
🔹 Career Hub UMF Craiova (Building A’): A dynamic space facilitating direct engagement between students, graduates, and the university's institutional partners. The agenda includes presentation booths, dialogues regarding professional career paths, targeted student activities, and Alumni Talks best-practice sessions.
🔹 "Health & Oltenia" Sectorial Forum (Aula Magna, starting at 16:00): A high-level roundtable bringing together university leadership and socio-economic stakeholders. The debates will focus on current and future challenges within the healthcare system, managing skill requirements, and defining new directions for public-private collaboration.
MediFest UMF Craiova aims to transform the convergence of education and profession into a concrete tool for developing the human capital, skills, and alliances vital to the future of the regional medical system.
