The third edition of the „Rheumaultrasound. Hands-on Sonography Course - Deep US Anatomy learning”, the most important didactic event of its kind in Romania, will take place on 2-4 November 2023 at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova (B-building, No.66, Bdv. 1 Mai).

The official opening will take place on 2nd November at 14.15 in the Aula Magna. The event will be attended by renowned specialists from Italy, Spain, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, as well as the largest medical university centres in Romania.

The Musculoskeletal Ultrasound course, focused on understanding the anatomy of the locomotor system structures (joints, tendons, fascia, etc.) and the major peripheral nerves, will allow identification of normal appearance and pathology of the upper and lower limbs (important regions will be assessed, e.g. shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee, ankle and foot).

In recent years, ultrasound has emerged as an essential component of rheumatology clinical practice, leading to an increasing demand for education and training in the field at all levels of expertise.

The event is organised by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova in partnership with the International Society for Ultrasound in Rheumatology, the Romanian Society of Rheumatology and the Craiova Early Arthritis Centre.
