Emergency healthcare simulations
Focus: Scenarios involving adults, children and newborns in emergency situations, with high-fidelity manikins simulating complex medical conditions, resuscitation and first aid procedures.
Equipment:
Educational manikin for basic life support and adult airway management
Technical features:
- Head and torso of adult male, life size
- Mobile joints - head tilt and extension, chin lift, jaw subluxation
- The realistic chest cavity allows users to experience the force needed to perform chest compressions correctly
- Correct anatomical landmarks on the manikin help to position the hands correctly during CPR maneuvers
- Eyelids can be opened and closed manually
- It has correct airway anatomy allowing oral and nasal intubation
- Laryngospasm
- Enables tracheostomy and cricothyroidotomy
- During bag-mask ventilation, chest expansion may be observed
- During esophageal intubation, gastric distension may be observed
- Unilateral thoracic enlargements during selective bronchial intubation
- The carotid pulse is palpable and manually generated
- Enables assessment of the quality and performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Educational manikin for basic life support and use of automated external defibrillator in adults
Technical features:
- Intubable airway with tongue, vocal cords and trachea
- Mobile joints - head tilt and extension, chin lift, mandibular subluxation
- The realistic chest cavity allows users to experience the force needed to perform chest compressions correctly
- The correct anatomical landmarks of the manikin help to position the hands correctly during maneuvers
- Correct chest compressions lead to a palpable carotid pulse
- Enables the use of real defibrillation pads on the manikin's skin. Shocks will be delivered to the manikin using real energy, just like a real patient. The automated external defibrillator will display the ECG rhythm.
- Automatic pulse and breathing with bilateral lung expansion
- Multi-functional, compact, portable
- Eyelids open and close
- Head and torso of adult male, life size
- Silicone facial skin and scalp
During training:
- The learner may or may not be guided through the compressions by audible tones
- The instructor can visualize the depth of compressions and the volume of ventilation on the monitor in an easy to interpret graphical format
- The instructor is warned when the trainee needs to press faster or slower, harder or softer
- The instructor can also monitor the frequency of compressions in real time
- Defibrillation energy is displayed on the screen
After the training session:
- The instructor may review the trainee's performance, including average frequency of compressions per minute, percentage of compressions performed at the correct frequency, average depth of compressions, percentage of compressions performed at the correct depth, percentage of ventilations performed at the correct volume, ratio of compressions to ventilations, duration of exercise, down time.
- The evaluation system stored in the memory of the simulator controller can be transferred to a computer via the USB port on the simulator controller.
Control:
Various parameters can be adjusted/set:
- Correct compression/ventilation ratio
- Minimum and maximum limits for frequency of compressions
- Minimum and maximum compression depth limits (in inches or centimeters)
- Correct ventilation volume
- Manual cardioversion can be performed during defibrillation
- You can program EKG rhythms. You can select sinus rhythm, ventricular fibrillation or asystole. The selected rhythm can be visualized on a real external automatic defibrillator
- Carotid pulse and automatic breathing can be activated
